One of the most important aspects of marketing is the way you follow-up with leads. It reflects the commitment you have towards winning the deal and converting the prospect into a customer. The better you follow-up with all your leads, the greater are the chances that you end up doing more business with them.
Marketing and sales people find it difficult to remember all the follow-ups that they have to do during a particular time period; and that leads to lower productivity. SMS Reminders are a great way to keep oneself informed, however Email reminders may also do.
To solve this simple problem and give marketing & sales people an efficient tool that will help them remember how many leads they have to follow-up during a particular time period, we have added a widget – Last Activity On Leads.

This widget allows you configure time period ranges. Based on your business requirement and working style, you can configure duration.

Also it identifies leads on which no activity has been performed and displays the cumulative count for an individual user.
Now you can keep yourself informed on how many leads have you followed-up with; during a particular time period and based on that, boost the follow-up with leads.

As an organization, you may have thousands of customers and say if you serve a few hundred customers a month – How do you ensure prompt service to all customers?
Maintaining data in traditional ways like spreadsheet (excel) is one way you can do it, however it has its own disadvantages such as redundancy in data, prone to human errors and more. It also does not give you an automatic prompt as to which customers need to be serviced in the forthcoming days.
Analyzing these pain points, we had developed a Service Contract module and incorporated an Upcoming Preventive Maintenance widget. This widget helps you keep track of preventive maintenances that are scheduled in the forthcoming days.

For instance if you want to find out preventive maintenances that are scheduled this week, you can choose “One week” from the drop down available in the widget and you will get a list of preventive maintenances that are scheduled this week. Similarly you can find the scheduled preventive maintenances for two weeks and a month.
Now you can ensure prompt service to all your customers without having to worry about how you are going to remember them all.

At the end of a week or month, when you want to analyze how you and/or your team has performed the activities that were assigned, generally you may take a report.
One of our customers of melssCRM felt that there could be a better way of doing this routine activity. Based on the feedback that we received, we have now developed a new, user-friendly chart that quickly allows you to analyze your activities.
From a simple drop down – you can choose, whether you would like to analyze the activities for the week, month, last month, this quarter, last quarter, this FY (Financial Year) or for a specific date range by entering the exact dates.

After giving the necessary filter conditions – when the Go button is clicked, you get a visually appealing; user-friendly chart, that clearly gives you a consolidated overview of how many activities you and/or your team has completed.

Now, instead of using the monotonous reports while analyzing the activities – you can use this user-friendly chart and have more fun at work.

Have you ever thought of doing many things with one tool? One common example would be the mobile phones that we use in our day to day lives. We use it as a phone, alarm, calculator, torch, browser, camera, music player and many other applications.
But what does it have to do with CRM? We have been used to using the CRM only for one purpose and it is “Customer Relationship Management”.
In real world, people want more value for their money and are wanting new ways to use the CRM. One of customer said, “Is there some way we can use the CRM and our corporate website together?”.
Yes. Now you can. We have added a new widget called – Web Frame. This allows you to add your website in the dashboard of melssCRM.

We tried adding our corporate website http://www.melssindia.com/ and realized that this widget could be used for multiple purposes.

One of the use cases that we thought of was getting search results inside melssCRM. So we added one more instance of the widget and linked it to http://www.google.com/.

There we go. Now melssCRM’s dashboard becomes a multi-tasking tool. You can add any website of your choice in the CRM and continue enjoying the work.
How did you like this little piece of innovation from the melssCRM team. Please feel free to share your views.
